Forest Bear says "Hello" from Gjovik Norway to all his class friends at Jesse Grey school at West Bridgford Nottingham England. He is here with the Great Britain team learning about fair play and respect in Ice Hockey. He has become the Mascott for the Blue team which has players from Norway Germany, Holland and Great Britain. He has made lots of new friends. Steven Swain will escort  Forest back to school on Tuesday and bringing more pictures to show you all.

Day by Day Report Friday:
"The day started with the ice test for the Blue team. The competative edge of the players came out with them wanting to know there own times and those of there colleagues. This was followed by off ice training but you could tell that they were getting excited about the cultural visit. After lunch a short coach ride to Lillehammer. The scenary is beautiful. We arrive at the Olympic ski jump arena. A short ride on the Ski lift to the top of the jump and the veiw is stunning. Time for a photo shoot of my son Stevens  School class mascot Forest bear. The photo is of him sitting at the take off point on the jump. On to the the sledging the players cannot wait. I have to say the adrenalin is great what an experience a must do trip for any visitor to the area. On the coach ride back to the hotel every one is still buzzing from the trip. Now its time to focus on the real reason for the trip, Ice Hockey it's time for our second game. It's a close encounter but eventually the Blue team come out with a hard fort victory. The coaches then have a short class room session with the players and its back to the Hotel for our evening meal. A  quick team meeting after dinner for the players to discuss the performance for the banquet on Saturday night. It's been a great day good training great Hockey and a fantastic visit to Lillehamer. Thank you to the organisers at Gjorvik for another great day."

Clive Swain, Blue Team Manager.

Day by Day report Wednesday:
All Team Arrived in good condition, The Host organisation together with IIHF held a opening ceremony. The Teams were split into colours and they started practicing. Exiting Day.

"After a long journey by boat and bus, together over 30 hours, the Nederlands team arrived at 1600 hours in Gjøvik. We went straight to the icerink, wonderfully built in a rock for the 1994 Olympics. Because the team was so late the other teams had to wait for the opening ceremony. After the ceremony, we went to the hotel and had a first meeting with our Turquoise mixed team.
In the evening the first practice, and so the camp was started."
Jack Ham, Turquoise Team Manager.
